Highlights
This tour is a perfect choice for tourist who have limited time in Mongolia, yet they wanna explore Gobi. This tour is organizable prior seven days before actual departure date.
On the first day of our tour, our team will pick you up from your hotel two hours before the flight. Then, we will fly to Dalanzadgad city. The flight will take around an hour and a half to get there. After breakfast in a local restaurant, we will have a tour around the town and visit the museum for the rest of the day.
The land before time. One hundred fifty kilometers away from Khongor Sand dunes. It is the place that Roy Chapman Andrews found the first dinosaur fossils hundred years ago.
Name Andrews gives a flaming cliff because it looked like it was burning during the sunset. You might still find some dinosaur fossils around the area, but keep in mind, not to touch or take it as a souvenir. Informing your tour guide will be best.
One hundred fifty kilometers away from Yol Valley, the 5th stop of our tour will be Khongor Sand Dunes. Also known as Singing dunes, it is around 900 square kilometers, 180 kilometers wide. The highest point of the Khongor sand dunes is 300 meters above the ground.
It will be one of the best parts of our trip. Climbing to the dunes and looking at the sunset is going to be beautiful. We will also do some camel trekking near the dunes.
On the fourth day we will visit the Yol Valley. It is 210 kilometers away from our previous stop and 60 kilometers away from Dalanzadgad soum, Umnugobi province.
It is located between the Three beautiful Mountains; you can hike around the nature that you never expected from this trip. There are a lot of things to see in the Yol Valley, such as Frozen river in the summertime, Bisons, and Wild sheep. If you are lucky, you can see a snake, which means it represents good fortune. Don't worry, snakes in Yol Valley are none poisonous, but it doesn't mean you can touch it.
After breakfast, we are going back to Ulgii province. From there we are going to take a flight back to Ulaanbaatar city. In Ulaanbaatar, you will be able to visit city attractions like Gandan monastery, Sukhbaatar square, Gobi factory, Zaisan monument.
